How to terraform a world

Five phases to wake a world

Each phase has its own buildings and its own gauge. The credits you invest push it forward, and the planet changes: clouds, oceans, forests, then cities.

  1. Atmosphere

Wrap the planet in a breathable layer of gas. Everything else depends on it.

  2. Temperature

Heat up or cool down the climate to reach the habitable zone.

  3. Water

Bring forth oceans, rivers and aquifers.

  4. Life

From the first algae to dense forests: the planet turns green in real time.

  5. Civilization

Build cities and networks. The planet is ready: on to the next one.

Vesper, from bare rock to cities

  1. Vesper at the start, grey and airlessAt the start
  2. Vesper with an atmosphere and cloudsAtmosphere and temperature
  3. Vesper with water and green continentsWater and life
  4. Vesper covered in city lightsCivilization

A whole campaign to terraform

Each finished planet unlocks the next, and every one has its own rules. Between worlds, your fleet explores the galaxy.

  • Thirteen handcrafted worlds

Desert, ice giant, seismic world, lava, gas giant, ocean under the ice, ruins of a vanished civilization, ring world, plasma world… and even a star, Helios. Each has its own buildings, and the campaign carries on, sector after sector, with generated worlds.

  • Tech tree

Every planet you finish earns Energy to invest in a permanent tree with six branches: Atmosphere, Temperature, Water, Life, Extraction, Civilization.

  • Dark Matter and the Orbital Pass

Tap the orbs that appear on your planet's surface to collect Dark Matter. Each day you log in also unlocks a tier of the Orbital Pass, a 28-day season.

  • Expeditions

Send your ships to four destinations, from the Kuiper Belt to the Galactic Rim. The riskier the route, the better the loot, but a hull at zero means a ship lost for good.

  • Relics

Twenty relics to bring back from your expeditions. Equip them to speed up production in one terraforming phase.

  • Offline progress

Your automated buildings keep producing while you're away, for up to 8 hours. The output is waiting for you when you return.

Recruit your crew

Every building has its own squad of four commanders, recruited with Dark Matter. The first one automates the building, and each adds +100% speed: a full squad makes it run five times faster. Here are a few of them.
